The Education Department of Kathmandu Metropolitan City has opened online applications for students who wish to study in institutional/private schools under the scholarship quota for Class 11 in the academic year 2082/83. Selection will be made through a competitive scholarship examination.

Program Overview
Kathmandu Metropolitan City has partnered with 390 institutional schools to offer a total of 4,624 scholarship seats for deserving students. Admission under this scheme is strictly based on exam performance. Students are advised not to enroll in any private school before the scholarship results are officially released.
Seat Allocation Breakdown
- 40% reserved for students from government (community) schools
- 5% for students who completed SEE from private schools with a 10% scholarship
- 9% allocated for permanent residents of Kathmandu Metropolitan City
- 1% for students from landfill-affected areas
Scholarship Exam Details
- Question Type: Objective / Multiple Choice
- Total Questions: 100
- Subject-wise Distribution:
- Mathematics – 30 questions
- Science – 30 questions
- English – 30 questions
- General Knowledge – 10 questions
- Passing Score: Minimum 40%
- No negative marking for incorrect answers
Who Can Apply?
Candidates fulfilling at least one of the following criteria are eligible:
- Passed SEE with a minimum GPA of 1.6
- Completed SEE from a community school
- Completed SEE from a private school under a scholarship quota (10%)
- Permanent resident of landfill-affected areas in:
- Ward 1, 2, 3 of Kathmandu Metro
- Ward 1, 3, 4 of Dhunibeshi Rural Municipality
