The Public Service Commission (Lok Sewa Aayog) has published a new syllabus for the Kharidar examination. The Kharidar position is a key administrative role within the Nepalese civil service.
The examination is divided into two main parts:
Part 1: Written Examination
First Stage (Stage – I): Preliminary Examination
- Paper: General Knowledge & Basic Office Skills Test
- Full Marks: 100
- Pass Marks: 45
- Examination System: Objective Multiple Choice Questions
- Number of Questions: 50 (2 marks each)
- Time: 45 Minutes
Second Stage (Stage – II): Main Examination
- Paper I: Office Management
- Full Marks: 100
- Pass Marks: 40
- Examination System: Subjective (Short & Long Answers)
- Questions: 12 short (5 marks each), 4 long (10 marks each)
- Time: 2 Hours 30 Minutes
- Paper II: Job Knowledge-Related Subject
- Full Marks: 100
- Pass Marks: 40
- Examination System: Subjective (Short & Long Answers)
- Questions: 8 short (5 marks each), 6 long (10 marks each)
- Time: 2 Hours 30 Minutes
Part 2: Final Stage Examination
- Computer Skill Test
- Full Marks: 10
- Examination System: Practical
- Time: 15 Minutes
- Interview
- Full Marks: 30
- Examination System: Oral
